Understanding analytics

How scans are counted, what data you see and how long it is stored.

What is counted

Every time our short URL is opened we record one scan. Total scans count every hit; unique scans deduplicate by IP within a time window.

What data you see

Device type, operating system, browser, country and city (from anonymised IP), referrer, timestamp. No names, no phone numbers, no precise GPS.

Retention

Dynamic QR Code: 90 days. Starter: 180 days. Advanced: 365 days. Professional: 730 days. Export as CSV (Starter+) or Excel (Advanced+) to keep data longer.

GDPR

We truncate IP addresses before storing them. Analytics is a legitimate interest for you as the QR owner. If you embed Facebook Pixel or Google Tag we pass through consent from the visitor.
